More Than Moms–Craft NightPosted: October 23, 2012
We had great time at our More Than Moms event last night! This month’s theme was making low-budget crafts that would be great gifts for the upcoming holiday season. We had a great turnout, wonderful hostesses who worked very hard to prepare super fun crafts, and a little background holiday music to set the mood 🙂
Rebekah was one of our lovely hostesses. She is a super crafty mom, wife, and elementary school teacher who has been very innovative in decorating both her home and her classroom. She showed us how to make tile coasters. They turned out great and are a wonderful, easy, and practical gift! Here’s the tutorial.
Jessica was another one of our hostesses. She is a full time stay at home mom and is always trying out new things whether is cooking, gardening, or crafting. She showed us how to make Christmas plaques using some free printables she found HERE and HERE. Here’s a tutorial on the plaque and the fabric flowers.
Denisa was our third and final hostess for the evening. Denisa is also a full time stay at home mom. She is quite the talented seamstress! She’s always on the hunt for a bargain and is very adventurous when it comes to taking something old and turning it into something new and improved. Denisa taught us how to make these super cute bracelets! They took some determination, but the end result was well worth it!
Overall, it was another great night of connecting with other women in our church! Mark your calendars now for our next event…Monday, November 26th at 7:00 p.m. We’ll be having a cookie exchange and a question/answer session with Pastor Renae. It should be lots of fun!
