Has it really been 3 weeks since Thanksgiving?  It feels like it was just yesterday!  My side of the family has a tradition of getting together on Wednesday night to have dinner and watch “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”   We head back to my parents’ house on Thursday morning, and have our Thanksgiving lunch around 1:00.  We spend the late afternoon and evening with Nick’s side of the family.  We are so blessed to have both families within miles of us so we can fully enjoy as many traditions and as much time together as possible.

My parents got a new TV as an early Christmas present so Reuben got himself a new toy AKA the box!  He had a ball while Uncle Chad pushed him around the house in the box.  Reuben loves his Uncle Chad.

I love family time.  I love the warm house, the hustle and bustle, the movie playing in the background, my son running around in a diaper instead of sitting still to get his jammies on, adding three wonderful men to our family, and much, much more.  This picture may not mean much to you, but it means A LOT to me.

Reuben REFUSED to take a nap while at my mom and dad’s house.   We decided it would be best to take him home and let him nap before moving on to Nick’s parents’ house.  It turned out to be a great idea.  Reuben woke up in a much better mood and with some major bedhead!

Nick’s cousins were “teaching us how to Dougie,” and Reuben decided to get in on the action.  I would like to publicly apologize to Jared and Joel for posting this, but Reuben’s response is TOO CUTE!

All packed up and ready to go to the next party.

This year we decided to have some cousins over to our house to hang out, eat junk food, and play games.  We had so much fun!  We had a lot of food and I was concerned it wouldn’t get eaten.  Let’s just say, I worried for nothing.

Having a great time 🙂
